We're Hiring! - Technical Account Manager

shutterstock_273751400-Do you have years of experience working in an established MSP, and want to move into a leadership position at a fun, flexible, next-generation MSP?  Privo is an up-and-coming MSP located in Woburn, MA with solid stream of new MSP clients from our work in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) consulting space.  We are looking for someone who can interface with clients--running quarterly business reviews, managing projects, and keeping them happy--while serving as an escalation resource for junior Service Desk personnel who have exhausted their knowledge on challenging day-to-day technical issues.

  • A ridiculously great work environment. Our top priority as a company is creating a place where people love to work. Our office is relaxed, collaborative, and fun.  We started our business with the premise that smart and creative people have a strong distaste for bureaucracy and micromanagement and they find it painful to work for small-minded people/companies. They want to come to work to make an impact, solve interesting problems, help their teammates, grow their skills and their careers, and build something great. We give you the freedom, respect, and resources to do all that and we try not to suck your life force dry you so it’s possible to work here for years and years.  We believe your job shouldn’t feel like a job.

  • Endless Training and Career Development. The kind of people we are looking for are driven by a deep desire for continuous learning. One of the first things we do with new people is make a training and career development plan that charts a course for where you want to be in 3 years.  Then we actually follow through and give you the time and opportunity to pursue certifications, learn new technologies, hone your consulting skills, or whatever was in your plan.  We even give you scheduled time away from your daily duties to invest in yourself and pursue pet projects.

We want you to help run our MSP practice.  We use ConnectWise/Labtech and currently we have a couple dozen clients in the Greater Boston area. You will take a leading role in managing projects for clients, help our junior consultants with challenging technical issues, regularly meet with clients to gather their feedback and plan for future projects.  We need someone who has been in the MSP game for a while, is smart-as-a-whip on technical issues, great at juggling multiple things without too much breakage.  It wouldn’t hurt if you were a polished communicator as well!

We are Privo, a small IT infrastructure consulting firm located in Woburn, MA  with expertise in AWS migrations and management, managed services / help desk, and cybersecurity.

Think for a moment about the vast numbers of servers humming away in dusty server closets and colo’s around the world. Virtually all businesses that still own and operate their own servers (over 90% of businesses!) know they should move to the cloud but they lack the time and expertise to architect, migrate, and manage their infrastructure in the cloud. That's where we come in. And, in the course of migrating them to AWS, we often discover they need help with their back office IT operations and help desk. Consequently, we are growing fast and we need to build out our team! We seek people who are smart, charming, gritty, and anxious to learn, and give them opportunities to learn new skills and go deeper with the ones they already have.  If you are looking for a place to grow professionally, this is it.

If this sounds like your kind of place, we of course want to see your resume, but more importantly we want to hear from you why you think you would be successful here.  We’re not asking for the standard cover letter.  We want your authentic voice and your personality to come through.  Tell us your story.   If you half-ass a cover letter, or send something generic, we’re going to half-ass our consideration of it and send you a generic rejection letter.  No offense.

We look forward to meeting you!
